2006 Commercial Variety Trial

Our 2005 Tennessee wheat research location was on the Cherry's farm just south of Elbridge. The plot was planted on October 17th following a 185 bu/A corn crop. Field preparation was two passes with a disc and roller. DAP 100 lbs/A, potash 100 lbs/A and ammonium nitrate 30 lbs/A preplant fertilizer was applied.

Spring nitrogen was split applied with 45 lbs N applied at Feekes 3 and 64 lbs N applied at Feekes 6. All other inputs were consistent with intensive management practices such as applicable weed, insect and disease control.
