The 2006 Illinois wheat research location was, once again, on Jim Rose's farm just north of Salem. We at Wheat Tech are very appreciative of the entire Rose family for putting up with us for so many years. Those of you who conduct research know how valuable a good cooperator is and how rare they are to find.

2006 Commercial Variety Trial

Our 2005 Illinois wheat research location was on Jim Rose's farm just north of Salem. The plot was planted on October 6th after one discing following a 50 bu/A bean crop. MAP 175 lbs/A and potash 200 lbs/A preplant fertilizer was applied. Spring nitrogen was split applied with 45 lbs N applied at Feekes 3 and 60 lbs N applied at Feekes 6. All other inputs were consistent with intensive management practices such as applicable weed, insect and disease control.
